Srinagar, September 13, 2021 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Anjuman Nusrat-ul-Islam has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of Dr Aziz Hajini, a leading Kashmiri poet and writer and former secretary of the Cultural Academy. According to Kashmir Media Service, the Anjuman on behalf of its incarcerated President, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, in its condolence statement termed the demise of late Dr Hajini as a great loss to the Kashmiri language and literature.
Dr Aziz Hajini was not only a writer, poet and critic but he also spent his entire life in the promotion and publication of Kashmiri language and literature, the Anjuman said, adding that his demise is a big loss to the Kashmiri language and literature movement.
It said that late Dr Aziz Hajini during his lifetime had also organised a scholarly seminar in the main hall (auditorium) of Anjuman Nusrat-ul-Islam under the leadership of its present president, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in which many important and influential scholars and literary personalities of Kashmir had participated and expressed their views on the subject.
The Anjuman expressed heartfelt condolence and sympathy with the Hajini family, especially with son of the deceased, Azhar Hajini; and prayed to Allah Almighty for forgiveness of the departed soul, his ascension to Jannah and patience for the bereaved family.
