Srinagar, July 09, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Anjuman Auqaf of Jamia Masjid, Srinagar, on behalf of the organisation and its illegally detained Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has extended heartfelt greetings to the Muslim world, on the arrival of Eid-ul-Azha.

The Anjuman in a statement issued in Srinagar said as far as the celebration of Eid-ul-Azha in the territory is concerned, this year’s Eid is also being celebrated at a time when people in Kashmir, are going through extremely difficult times.

The Anjuman recalled the philosophy of Eid-ul-Azha and the unparalleled sacrifices of Hazrat Ibraheem (AS) and Hazrat Ismaeel (AS) and termed it the “ascension of humanity.” It urged people to celebrate Eid with simplicity in accordance with Islamic traditions and teachings, and seek the pleasure of Allah Almighty by reaching out to the poor, backward and needy.
