Srinagar, October 30, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a Seerat Conference was organized, today, at Islamia Higher Secondary School, Rajouri Kadal, in Srinagar, under the auspices of Anjuman Auqaf of Jamia Masjid in connection with Rabi-ul-Awwal, the blessed month which marks the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Leading religious scholar of IIOJK, Maulana Rehmatullah Mir Al-Qasmi presided over the conference while the Vice President of Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, Agha Syed Mujtaba Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, the head of Anjuman-e-Himaayat-ul-Islam, Maulana Khurshid Ahmad Qanungo, the President of Anjuman Ulema-e-Ahnaaf, Maulana Akhzar Hussain and renowned Naat Khwaan and poet Shabbir Ahmad Mir, Maulana M S Rehman Shams and General Secretary of Anjuman Auqaf, Haji Altaf Ahmed Butt, shed light on the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
The speakers said the main reason for the unending problems and crises faced by the Muslims of the world, in general, and those in Jammu and Kashmir, in particular, is the deviation from the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). “The solution to all our problems depends solely on sincerely following the great teachings of the Prophet (PBUH) and that is how we can lead the world in moral leadership,” they emphasised.
On the occasion, the speakers expressed deep concern over the closure of the historic Central Jamia Masjid in Srinagar for Friday prayers and worship for a long time. While the world is back on track in view of the significant decline in the number of coronavirus cases and the important centres and holy places of Muslims across the world, including the Harmain Sharifain, the two most revered places of worship in Islam, have also been opened; the closure of the central Jamia Masjid, the largest place of worship in Kashmir, by authorities is extremely disturbing and tantamount to hurting the religious sentiments of the Muslims of the region, they said.
The speakers expressed hope that in view of these circumstances, not only the Srinagar Jamia Masjid would be opened for Friday and daily prayers but also the continued detention of Anjuman Auqaf chief, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq would be lifted so that he can carry out his religious, political, social and other peaceful activities as is the centuries-old tradition of the Mirwaizeen-e-Kashmir. A special issue of Anjuman Nusrat-ul-Islam’s magazine ‘Paighambar-e-Hidaayat No. 2021’ was also launched on the occasion.
