Anjuman Auqaf and Mirwaiz Foundation Release 1445-46 AH Hijri Calendar Featuring Kashmir’s Architectural Heritage

Srinagar, In a collaborative effort, Anjuman Auqaf Jamia Masjid, Srinagar, and Mirwaiz Foundation have released their Annual Hijri Calendar for the year 1445-46 AH. This year’s edition focuses on showcasing the rich architectural tradition of Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the 1445-46 AH Hijri Calendar includes images that highlight the cross-cultural synthesis evident in the region’s khanaqahs, masajid, madrassas, tombs, and eidgahs. These structures are a testament to the historical and cultural heritage of Kashmir, blending various architectural influences.

Furthermore, both Anjuman Auqaf and the Mirwaiz Foundation have called for public support in preserving this endangered architectural heritage. The release of the calendar serves not only as a cultural reminder but also as a plea to recognize and protect the unique historical structures that are integral to Kashmir’s identity.
