An MoU signed between Punjab Police and Akhuwat foundation under Kamyab Pakistan Program 

Lahore, February 16, 2022 (PPI-OT):Inspector General of Police Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan has said that solving the problems of police force especially constables and low paid employees and their best welfare department is the first priority. IG Punjab said that Punjab Police has signed MoU with Akhuwat Foundation under the Kamyab Pakistan program of government of Pakistan for the facility of private house for low paid employees who don’t have personal roof.

They will be given a loan of Rs. 10 to 15 lakhs in easy instalments for the construction of houses which they will be able to repay from their salary in easy instalments on monthly basis. Rao Sardar Ali Khan said that this facility would benefit the employees with a salary of less than Rs.50000.

IG Punjab said that the loan would be repaid in monthly instalments over a period of 10 to 15 years out of the salary of the employees so that the low paid employees would not have to bear unbearable extra burden and would be able to support their families with ease. He expressed these views while talking to a delegation led by Dr. Amjad Saqib, Chairman, and Akhuwat Foundation at Central Police Office here today.

According to details, MoU has been signed between Punjab Police and Akhuwat Foundation at the Central Police Office under the Kamyab Pakistan Program. Additional IG Welfare and Finance Muhammad Farooq Mazhar and CEO Akhuwat Islamic Microfinance Dr. Kamran Shams signed the MoU. Under the MoU, police personnel from all the districts of the province will be able to avail this facility.

Police employees will move their applications for acquisition of loan to welfare Branch at Central police office whereas after reviewing of applications by DIG welfare, these will be sent to Akhuwat Head Office. Chairman of Akhuwat Foundation Dr. Amjad Saqib termed the agreement with Punjab Police as a good step and said that the aim of Akhuwat Foundation is to help the low-income group and make them independent. Thanks to this MoU, low paid police personnel will benefit from this agreement, he added.

On this occasion IG Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan also presented souvenirs to Chairman Akhuwat Foundation Dr. Amjad Saqib. Additional IG Establishment Ali Amir Malik, Additional IG Operations Sahibzada Shehzad Sultan, DIG Welfare Abdul Ghaffar Qaisarani and Dr. Kamran Shams on behalf of Akhuwat Foundation were present on this occasion.
