Karachi, July 18, 2023 (PPI-OT): Provincial Minister for Local Government, Public Health Engineering and Housing Town Planning Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has said that record development work has been done in Sindh province under the government of PPP and Karachi’s infrastructure has faced severe damage in the last rainy season and steps are being taken on a priority basis to restore the infrastructure, while the work of more than 400 small and big roads of Karachi is going on. He said this on meets with American Consul General Nicole Theriot at Ali House Karachi yesterday.
The Consul General and Minister LG discussed matters of mutual interest, including bilateral relations. Additional Chief Secretary LG Syed Najam Shah, Chairman District Council Sukkur Syed Kamil Haider Shah, Coordinator of Chief Minister Shahzad Memon, Justice of Peace Pir Aman, Political Officer Ron Rhinehart and Political Specialist Saleh Shah were present on the occasion of the meeting. Minister LG Nasir Shah told the American Consul General that due to the foreign policies of PPP Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto, trade with different countries was promoted and the relations between Pakistan and friendly countries were further strengthened due to successive foreign visits.
On this occasion, American Consul General Nicole Theriot praised the Sindh government regarding the development initiatives and said that the initiatives of the Local Government Department and the Sindh government to provide relief to its people are commendable. Minister Nasir Shah presented a traditional Sindh shawl to the American Consul General on this occasion.
