Washington DC, Ambassador Masood Khan called on the Pakistani diaspora to invest in Pakistan, highlighting the country’s potential and the importance of their role in strengthening Pakistan-US relations during the OPEN Global Retreat 2024 in New York City.
According to Press Information Department, Ambassador Khan emphasized the importance of rejecting negative perceptions and supporting Pakistan’s economic development, especially in sectors like IT, energy, agriculture, and mining. The event, which took place from June 7-9, gathered notable Pakistani-American entrepreneurs and business leaders, and marked the fourth annual meeting of its kind. Khan praised the efforts of OPEN Global in fostering a robust network of professionals that can serve as a bridge between the two nations.
Throughout the retreat, speakers including Abu Bakar, Tariq Khan, and Amir Chalisa shared their insights and success stories, reflecting the optimism and opportunities within Pakistan’s various sectors. Prominent figures such as Dilawar Syed from the SBA, Sabir Sami of KFC, and several CEOs highlighted their positive experiences with Pakistani ventures, reinforcing the ambassador’s message of hope and collaboration.
