Ambassador Rizwan Engages with Pakistani-American Community, Highlights Economic Opportunities


New York: Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh of Pakistan to the United States recently engaged with the Pakistani-American community in New York and New Jersey, marking his first formal interaction since assuming office. The event, held at the Consulate General of Pakistan in New York, focused on strengthening bilateral ties and exploring trade and investment opportunities between the U.S. and Pakistan.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting drew a significant turnout from community leaders and members who shared their perspectives on enhancing U.S.-Pakistan relations. Ambassador Sheikh discussed Pakistan’s positive economic trajectory and the government’s initiatives designed to support the diaspora in fostering economic ties.



The session facilitated an interactive dialogue where community members expressed their views on necessary reforms and the ways to deepen bilateral relations. Ambassador Sheikh emphasized the importance of the diaspora’s contributions to Pakistan’s development and reassured them of the embassy’s commitment to leveraging their insights to address the challenges facing Pakistan.



He also underscored the embassy’s dedication to engaging with the diaspora actively and promoting collaborative efforts that aim to further Pakistan’s development and prosperity.
