Ambassador of Türkiye and Pakistan’s Housing Minister Discuss Bilateral Cooperation in Housing Sector.


Islamabad: The Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Pakistan, H.E. Irfan Neziroglu, met with the Federal Minister for Housing and Works, Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada, at the Ministry of Housing & Works in Islamabad. The meeting focused on strengthening ties between the two countries, particularly in the housing sector.



According to Press Information Department, Minister Pirzada welcomed Ambassador Neziroglu and highlighted the deep cultural and historical ties shared by Pakistan and Türkiye. He expressed gratitude for Türkiye’s support for Pakistan on international platforms and emphasized the need to enhance cooperation in trade and investment. The minister noted that housing is a top priority for Pakistan’s government and viewed the ambassador’s visit as timely, given the ministry’s focus on addressing housing challenges in the country.



Ambassador Neziroglu thanked the minister for the warm reception and expressed a strong desire to engage in bilateral and trilateral relations with Pakistan across multiple sectors. He mentioned the Housing Administration of the Republic of Türkiye, TOKi, established in 1984, as a potential model for solving housing issues for low- and middle-income groups. The ambassador expressed willingness to share experiences and contribute to Pakistan’s housing sector.



Minister Pirzada highlighted Pakistan’s need for investment and trade rather than aid, citing the country as a large market with profitable prospects in the housing sector. He praised Türkiye’s community gardens and showed interest in adopting TOKi’s successful models in Pakistan. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and exploring opportunities in the housing sector.
