Pingdingshan, Ambassador Khalil Hashmi’s recent visit to Pingdingshan city in Henan Province underscored a deepening economic relationship between Pakistan and China. During his visit, the Ambassador engaged in several high-level discussions aimed at enhancing cooperation across various sectors including mining, electronics, and textiles.

According to Press Information Department, Ambassador Hashmi’s engagements included a business roundtable and an unveiling ceremony for a dual-degree program between Pingdingshan Polytechnic College and a Sindhi institution, emphasizing the critical role of technical education in economic development. His talks with Mayor Li Mingjun and other local officials highlighted the potential for increased Chinese investment in Pakistan, particularly in light of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

The visit, which also featured discussions on trade expos and investment opportunities in Pakistan, is part of ongoing efforts to leverage Pakistan’s economic assets and foster robust trade and investment ties with various Chinese regions, each with its unique economic strengths.
