Ambassador Masood Khan Highlights Pak-US Relations and Investment Opportunities in Washington D.C.Islamabad Police Arrest Two Key Members of Car Lifting Gang, Recover Stolen Vehicle

Washington D.C., Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Masood Khan, assured a global audience of the strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and the United States, particularly in the realms of investment and trade. Speaking at a prominent gathering in Washington D.C., he urged for sustained partnership and dialogue to bolster economic cooperation and address regional peace and security issues.

According to Embassy of Pakistan – Washington D.C., Ambassador Khan addressed a diverse group of think-tank analysts, business leaders, and media representatives at the prestigious University Club. He called for the utilization of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) to attract investment in sectors like agriculture, energy, IT, and mineral extraction, noting the significant presence of American companies in Pakistan.

The ambassador highlighted the transformative potential of the renewed Pakistan-U.S. Science and Technology Cooperation Agreement, which he believes should be fully leveraged for advancements in higher education, research, and technology, particularly in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Ambassador Khan discussed the critical Pakistan-India relations, emphasizing the need for dialogue to resolve longstanding issues, including the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in line with UN resolutions. He expressed hope that upcoming elections in both countries would bring leadership that prioritizes diplomacy.

On regional stability, he stressed the necessity of responsible nuclear stewardship and reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong ties with China, emphasizing that they do not come at the expense of the relationship with the United States. He advocated for adherence to international humanitarian law’s core principles for global peace.

The meeting concluded with Ambassador Khan thanking the International Committee of the University Club for the invitation and the opportunity to share his perspective on these vital topics.

Islamabad, The Anti Robbery and Dacoity Unit (ARDU) of the Islamabad Capital Police has successfully apprehended two significant members of a notorious car lifting gang, also recovering a stolen vehicle valued at 14.3 million rupees.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests were made as part of a broader crackdown on criminal elements in the city, directed by Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan. Utilizing a combination of technical and human intelligence resources, the ARDU team located and detained Habib Ullah Khan and Kaleem Ur Rehman, both of whom were wanted for their involvement in multiple vehicle lifting incidents across Islamabad.



The police’s swift action in this case highlights their commitment to reducing crime and ensuring the safety of citizens’ lives and properties. The ICCPO has instructed senior officials to maintain a stringent approach against those engaged in criminal activities. The case against the accused is registered, and further investigations are in progress to uncover more details and possibly recover additional stolen property.
