Beijing, Ambassador Khalil Hashmi chaired the Consuls General Conference 2024 at the Pakistan Embassy in Beijing. The conference saw participation from Consul Generals and Heads of Missions from Pakistan Consulates General in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Chengdu, along with officers from the Pakistan Embassy in Beijing. The meeting focused on a wide array of issues including consular, economic, trade, education, and community-related matters.
According to Press Information Department, Ambassador Hashmi underscored the crucial role of Consulates General in bolstering the China-Pakistan all-weather strategic cooperative partnership. He stressed the importance of maintaining high standards of commitment and public service to deepen bilateral relations further. The Ambassador appreciated the synergy among the Consulates, highlighting the significance of information sharing, coordination, and consultations to achieve the Government of Pakistan’s vision and priorities.
The Consuls General provided comprehensive briefings on the political, economic, and community issues within their jurisdictions, offering recommendations to strengthen bilateral ties and better support the Pakistani community in China. The conference culminated with the adoption of a detailed plan of action for 2024, outlining key strategies and initiatives.
