Ambassador Khalil Hashmi Inaugurates Pakistan Pavilion at CIFTIS 2024


Beijing: Ambassador Khalil Hashmi officially opened the Pakistan Pavilion at the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) 2024 today. The event, attended by notable figures including Mr. Zhang Yanqing, Deputy Secretary-General of the People’s Government of Pingdingshan City, marks a significant push to promote Pakistani services and investment opportunities on a global stage. The pavilion, distinguished by its public-private partnership framework, aims to present Pakistan as a fertile ground for business growth and development.



According to Press Information Department, the pavilion not only serves to showcase the diverse investment opportunities in Pakistan but also provides practical insights into the operational landscape within the country. Featuring presentations from industrial park operators and development authorities, it offers valuable expertise on infrastructure and investment readiness in Pakistan.



Ambassador Hashmi emphasized the importance of 13 priority investment sectors including manufacturing, technology, energy, agriculture, and infrastructure development. He lauded the contributions of various Pakistani organizations like the Export Processing Zone Authority, Green Pakistan Initiative, and the National Bank of Pakistan, which have been crucial in building business-to-business (B2B) relations with China.



In addition, Ambassador Hashmi announced that the Pakistan Embassy will host the Pakistan Investment Conference during CIFTIS. This event will include panel discussions and B2B meetings aimed at fostering deeper business ties and exploring new avenues for cooperation between Pakistani and Chinese enterprises.
