Islamabad, Ambassador Blome celebrated the contributions of Humphrey Fellowship alumni at the fifth annual Humphrey Alumni Conference, praising their efforts in fostering social responsibility and strengthening U.S.-Pakistan relations.
According to Embassy of the United States of America, Ambassador Blome thanked Federal Secretary Mr. Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani and the teams from the U.S. Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) and Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network (PUAN) for their dedication to educational partnerships and conference organization. He highlighted the alumni’s roles in addressing global challenges such as climate change, social conflict, and public health through initiatives like microfinance, education, and rights advocacy.
Notable alumni achievements include Dr. Muhammad Amjad Saqib’s microfinance work aiding over 5.2 million Pakistanis, Ramesh Jaipal’s advocacy for religious minority rights, and Muhammad Atif’s global leadership in disability rights. The ambassador expressed his hopes for continued collaboration and learning among the Humphrey and PUAN communities.
