Peshawar, Barrister Dr. Saif, Advisor on Information and Public Relations of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has strongly criticized the denial of health facilities to Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi, describing it as a breach of the Constitution of Pakistan and international human rights laws. The statement comes amid ongoing tensions and health concerns regarding the detained former Prime Minister and his wife.
According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Dr. Saif argued that withholding medical care from detainees constitutes torture under international law, and thus, those responsible, including the Punjab administration and Maryam Nawaz, should face legal consequences. He called for immediate legal action to ensure the rights of Khan and his wife are upheld, warning of severe repercussions if their health were to deteriorate further under confinement.
