All Parties Conference condemns Indian state terrorism in IIOJK

Islamabad, June 01, 2022 (PPI-OT):The All Parties Conference on Kashmir in Islamabad, today, unanimously passed a resolution condemning the ongoing Indian state terrorism in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The resolution was unanimously passed at the All Parties Consultative Conference on Kashmir issue titled “The Way Forward” organized by the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan at Azad Jammu and Kashmir Council Secretariat.

The resolution rejected the unilateral and illegal measures taken by the Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government in IIOJK on 5th August, 2019. It said the Modi regime is hatching conspiracies to change the demographic composition of the occupied territory by granting Jammu and Kashmir’s citizenship to Indian Hindus. It also denounced the redrawing of constituencies in IIOJK by the Indian government to affect the Muslim majority representation in the so-called assembly.

The resolution said sentencing of prominent Hurriyat leader, Muhammad Yasin Malik, to life imprisonment and continued illegal detention of other Hurriyat leaders in false and baseless cases are Indian government’s heinous acts which have been condemned by the whole world including the OIC. It demanded immediate release of all illegally detained Kashmiris languishing in different jails of IIOJK and India.

The resolution demanded of India to immediately stop genocide of Kashmiris, rescind all its actions taken on and after August 05, 2019, lift all restrictions imposed in the occupied territory and restore the political, social, economic and cultural rights of the Kashmiri people. It called for immediate cessation of enforced disappearances in IIOJK, killing of Kashmiris and violence against them, and allowing of international journalists and media the access to the territory to monitor the human rights violations being perpetrated by Indian troops there.

The resolution called on the international community, including the United Nations, the European Union, the OIC and international human rights organizations to impress upon India to stop its state terrorism in IIOJK and give the Kashmiris their right to self-determination for ensuring permanent peace and security in South Asia.
