AJK Prime Minister Reaffirms Support for Kashmiri Freedom Movement During APHC-AJK Visit

Islamabad: In a significant show of solidarity, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq visited the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter office, pledging full support for the Kashmiri freedom movement. The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the Kashmiri people’s struggle for autonomy would eventually triumph.

According to Kashmir Media Service, during his visit to the APHC-AJK office today, Prime Minister Haq congratulated the newly elected Hurriyat leadership and assured them of the AJK government’s unwavering commitment to the cause. He stressed the importance of mobilizing all available resources to further the movement and highlighted the planned observances of significant upcoming dates, including Youm-e-Istehsal on August 5 and Indian Independence Day on August 15 as Black Day.

The AJK Prime Minister also recognized the efforts of the Hurriyat leadership in organizing impactful rallies in Muzaffarabad, Karachi, and Lahore, noting the need for actionable steps rather than mere dialogue in the pursuit of Kashmiri rights. He reiterated his dedication to intensifying the freedom struggle both domestically and internationally, despite opposition and challenges posed by Hindutva forces.

During the meeting, Haq also paid tribute to the Kashmiri youth who have been martyred in the conflict. APHC-AJK Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi and other Hurriyat leaders welcomed the Prime Minister and briefed him on issues facing Kashmiri refugees, advocating for their permanent resettlement.

The event was attended by various AJK government and APHC-AJK officials, highlighting a unified approach to addressing the Kashmir issue.
