Rawalpindi, Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), paid homage to the late Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas, a prominent Kashmiri leader, by visiting his grave, laying a floral wreath, and offering Fateha.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the visit was marked by a ceremonial guard of honor presented by a smartly turned-out contingent of police. The Prime Minister was accompanied by Ministers Dewan Ali Khan Chaghtai and Chaudhry Azhar Sadiq. The event was also attended by former AJK Prime Minister Sardar Atiq Ahmed Khan, who welcomed Chaudhry Anwarul Haq upon his arrival.
The arrangements for the visit were overseen by Zafar Mehmood Khan, Secretary of Services and General Administration. The gathering included several key officials, such as Ansar Yaqoob, Secretary of Information and Forests; Ghulam Bashir Mughal, Secretary of Physical Planning and Housing; and Wajahat Rasheed Baig, Secretary of Kashmir Cause, Languages, and Arts.
The visit underscores the ongoing respect and recognition for Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas’s contributions to the Kashmiri cause and serves as a reminder of the region’s historical and political journey.
