Islamabad, The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK), Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, has commended the instrumental role of overseas Kashmiris in elevating the Kashmir cause on the global stage, underscoring their contributions towards advocating peace and development.
According to Kashmir Media Service, during a meeting with a delegation led by AJK Minister for Communications Chaudhry Azhar Sadiq from Dadyal at the Jammu Kashmir House in Islamabad, the AJK Premier underscored the crucial impact of the diaspora in fostering understanding and seeking an early peaceful resolution to the Kashmir issue, a step he deems vital for the broader peace in the South Asian region.
The meeting saw participation from notable figures, including Counselor Sandoval Council United Kingdom Khayyam Naseem Kayani and former President Bar Association Dadyal Nadeem Kayani Advocate, with Prime Minister Anwarul Haq extending his congratulations to Nadeem Kayani on his recent election as a councilor in the UK.
The delegation expressed appreciation for Prime Minister Anwarul Haq’s persistent efforts in drawing attention to the Kashmir issue at both the domestic and international levels. In response, the Premier reiterated his administration’s dedication to advancing the Kashmir cause and ensuring effective governance within Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
