Muzaffarabad, The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, has voiced significant concerns regarding the ongoing political and human rights crisis in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
According to Kashmir Media Service, during an Iftar dinner with journalists in Muzaffarabad, Chaudhry Anwarul Haq decried the daily violations of human rights, including forced disappearances and the killing of innocents by Indian forces in IIOJK. He condemned India’s actions on August 5, 2019, as illegal and highlighted their rejection by Kashmiris, Pakistan, and international communities.
The AJK Prime Minister reaffirmed the Kashmiri right to self-defense and freedom, under international laws, and criticized the political manipulations of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in India, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, especially in the context of upcoming elections in India.
Haq urged the media to support the Kashmir cause, pledging continued advocacy for Kashmiris’ rights, and warned of the BJP’s historical pattern of exploiting anti-Muslim and anti-Pakistan sentiments for political gains.
