AJK Prime Minister Congratulates Newly-Elected Leaders of Kashmir Journalists Forum


Muzaffarabad: Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, has extended his congratulations to the recently elected office bearers of the Kashmir Journalists Forum. He commended their positive role in upholding democratic processes within journalistic organizations and ensuring the dissemination of accurate information to the public.



According to Kashmir Media Service, the Prime Minister conveyed his congratulatory message to the newly elected President of the Kashmir Journalists Forum, Sardar Irfan Saduzai, along with General Secretary Maqsood Muntazar Sufi, Senior Vice President Iqbal Awan, Danish Irshad, Finance Secretary Sardar Imran, and Information Secretary Ali Hasnain Naqvi, among others. He expressed his best wishes for their tenure.



Chaudhry Anwarul Haq emphasized the importance of democratic attitudes and practices in civil society institutions, particularly when facing challenges from misinformation. He highlighted the role of authentic journalists and media in delivering accurate information, noting the contrast between Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir regarding freedom of expression. He pointed out that Azad Jammu and Kashmir enjoys a system that supports journalists’ welfare, a testament to its democratic society.



The Prime Minister expressed optimism that the newly elected officials would fulfill the expectations of their electorate, contributing positively to the journalistic community and the broader society.
