Muzaffarabad: Azad Jammu Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq has urged the Kashmiri diaspora, particularly those residing in the United Kingdom, to engage actively in raising awareness about the situation in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, while speaking with Lord Qurban Hussain, a member of the British House of Lords of Kashmiri origin, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of unveiling India’s actions and advocating for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination at international platforms, including the British Parliament.
Anwar-ul-Haq also highlighted the necessity for increased cooperation in youth exchange programs and the expansion of technical networks, alongside spotlighting the ongoing human rights issues in the region.
In terms of local development, the Prime Minister pointed to progress on significant projects, such as the development of an airport in Mirpur, with a feasibility study for a domestic airport currently being conducted.
