Islamabad, President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry, has emphasized the government’s focused efforts on the construction and development of the Neelum Valley. This commitment was highlighted during a meeting with Pir Muhammad Mazhar Saeed Shah, Member of the Legislative Assembly and Parliamentary Secretary for Zakat and Ushr, who discussed the region’s ongoing challenges and potential.
According to Press Information Department – Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the President noted the significant tourism potential and natural resources of the Neelum Valley. He expressed the government’s intention to not only utilize these assets but also to enhance the quality of life for its residents by providing improved facilities. The discussion also covered environmental preservation measures, particularly the protection of forests, which is seen as integral to sustainable development and tourism promotion in the area.
During the meeting, Pir Muhammad Mazhar Saeed Shah briefed President Chaudhry on the specific issues facing the people in the Neelum Valley. In response, the President assured that the government would take all necessary steps to address these problems. Furthermore, an invitation was extended to President Chaudhry to visit the Neelum Valley, which he accepted, indicating a forthcoming detailed tour of the region to better understand and aid in its development needs.
