Muzaffarabad, In a recent address, President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry lauded the establishment of the Kashmir Policy Research Institute (KPRI), the region’s first think tank dedicated to the Kashmir issue. The institute is seen as a significant step in the AJK government’s efforts to bring international attention to the struggle for freedom in Indian-occupied Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, during a briefing session organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell (JKLC), President Chaudhry highlighted the pivotal role of the KPRI in enhancing global awareness about the Kashmir conflict. He praised the institute’s initiatives, including the publication of a research journal, the conduct of workshops, and the production of extensive research materials focused on the region’s political and social dynamics.
President Chaudhry emphasized the increased responsibilities of the AJK government amidst the current geopolitical climate, noting the crucial contributions of the JKLC and the KPRI in amplifying the Kashmiri voice on the international stage. He reaffirmed his commitment to advocating for the Kashmiri cause and maintaining a strong connection between the people of AJK and the broader issue of Kashmir’s freedom.
