Islamabad: President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry marked September 7 as a significant day in Islamic history, celebrating the 1974 legislative decision that designated Qadianis as a non-Muslim minority. This decision, made by the Parliament of Pakistan, reflected the sentiments of the Muslim Ummah and has since been recognized as a vital chapter in their collective history.
According to President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, in a special message on the occasion of the end of Prophethood, President Chaudhry highlighted the profound significance of the 1974 resolution, which reinforced the belief in Khatm Nabuwwat—the finality of prophethood—an essential tenet of the Muslim faith. He emphasized that the people of Azad Kashmir have consistently upheld the sanctity of this belief, willingly making numerous sacrifices for its defense.
President Chaudhry further stated that recognizing and protecting the finality of prophethood is crucial for all Muslims, urging them to remain vigilant against any conspiracies that might undermine this core belief. He called on the community to renew their pledge to safeguard this doctrine and promote the teachings of Islam. He concluded his message with a prayer for steadfastness and protection of faith for all Muslims.
