Islamabad: On the eighth anniversary of the martyrdom of Burhan Muzaffar Wani, President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, reiterated the commitment to Kashmir’s freedom struggle, asserting that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs will lead to their eventual liberation from Indian control.
According to President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, President Chaudhry emphasized that the ongoing resistance in Kashmir, fueled by the martyrdom of figures like Burhan Wani, underscores the unwavering spirit of the Kashmiri people against Indian oppression. He criticized India’s refusal to recognize Kashmiri rights and highlighted the international obligation to respect the self-determination of peoples as outlined in United Nations resolutions. The President also condemned the human rights violations in occupied Kashmir, pointing out that such actions not only threaten regional peace but also challenge the credibility of international norms and institutions.
