Islamabad: On the occasion of Pakistan Defense Day, President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry highlighted the historical significance of the September 1965 war as a symbol of national unity and resistance against external aggression. In a special message, he commemorated the valor displayed by Pakistani forces and citizens in repelling an attack by a much larger force, emphasizing the enduring pride and lessons derived from this conflict.

According to President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, “The war of September 1965 was a challenge that the nation accepted and utilized its capabilities to thwart the aggressive ambitions of a power many times bigger than itself.” He lauded the armed forces for their bravery, superior combat skills, and the strategic discipline shown during the conflict. These actions, he noted, have become a source of national pride and a valuable lesson for future generations.

President Chaudhry also addressed the ongoing situation in Occupied Kashmir, where he claimed that the Kashmiri people are enduring severe hardships and atrocities committed by Indian forces. He praised the resilience and high morale of the Kashmiri people fighting for their rights and called on the international community to pressure India to cease its oppressive actions and find a lasting solution to the Kashmir issue.

The President’s message not only serves as a remembrance of Pakistan’s military history but also as a call to action for global intervention in the Kashmir conflict, aiming to achieve peace and freedom for the Kashmiri people.
