Islamabad: Leaders of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) held a significant meeting at Awan Sadar Kashmir House, where President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry and Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar Haq committed to intensifying their advocacy for Kashmir’s independence and addressing the ongoing Indian actions in the region. The discussions also explored the current political scenario in AJK and the progress of various development initiatives.
According to President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the meeting underscored the resolve to continue portraying the Kashmir issue as a fight against Indian control until the region achieves full independence and integration with Pakistan. This stance is in response to the policies pursued by the Indian government in Occupied Kashmir, which the AJK leaders criticized for oppressing the Kashmiri populace under the Hindutva agenda. The conversation also covered mutual interests and furthered the dialogue on numerous ongoing development projects aimed at enhancing the region’s infrastructure and quality of life.
The leaders called for unity and effective international advocacy against the commercial exploitation of Kashmir by Indian entities, emphasizing the need for a cohesive voice against the adversities faced by Kashmiris. The meeting highlighted not only the political and developmental priorities of AJK but also reiterated their enduring commitment to the Kashmiri cause.
