AirAsia to Launch Operations in Pakistan, Strengthening Bilateral Ties

Karachi: A high-level meeting was held between a Malaysian delegation, led by the Chief Executive Officer of AirAsia, and Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tesori. The meeting, which also included the Consul General of Malaysia, Herman Hardynata Ahmad, highlighted the strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Malaysia.

The discussions culminated in the announcement that AirAsia will commence its operations in Pakistan starting May 30, 2025. Governor Tesori expressed optimism that this development will bolster trade and tourism between the two nations.

The Consul General of Malaysia expressed gratitude to the Governor of Sindh for his support in facilitating AirAsia’s entry into the Pakistani market. He emphasized the positive impact that the airline’s operations will have on enhancing connectivity and fostering economic growth.

This strategic move is seen as a significant step in fortifying the already growing ties between Pakistan and Malaysia, with AirAsia’s presence expected to provide a considerable boost to both trade and tourism sectors.
