Lahore: Minister for Planning and Development, Ahsan Iqbal, has emphasized the need for a joint effort from the industrial sector, the public, and the government to address climate change. Speaking at a seminar in Lahore, Iqbal highlighted the significant loss of life caused by environmental pollution, noting that approximately 100,000 people die each year due to its effects.
Iqbal called on developed nations to honor their commitment to provide $100 billion to combat climate change, stressing the urgency of fulfilling this promise. His remarks underscored the importance of global cooperation in mitigating the impact of climate change.
