Ahsan Iqbal Promotes Investment Opportunities in Gwadar to Global Partners

Islamabad, Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal highlighted the transformative development of Gwadar as a future world-class port city, emphasizing its potential for boosting regional maritime trade and attracting international investments.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, in an interview with Xinhua, Iqbal detailed the progress of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in making Gwadar a hub for maritime activities. He underscored the port’s strategic position to aid landlocked regions like Afghanistan and mentioned that investment opportunities in Gwadar are open to all countries willing to collaborate with Pakistan and China.

The minister pointed out that the completion of the early harvest projects in CPEC’s first phase has paved the way for significant socio-economic benefits in its next phase. This upcoming phase is expected to connect Pakistan with advanced technologies, spur an agricultural revolution, and enhance industrial growth, thus positioning Pakistan as a model for export-led growth.
