Karachi: Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Ahsan Iqbal, has outlined a strategic approach focused on technology, political stability, and long-term vision as foundational elements for Pakistan’s growth. Speaking at the National Center for Big Data and Cloud Computing at NED University in Karachi, he underscored the necessity of these pillars to navigate the challenges of a rapidly transforming world.

Iqbal pointed to the evolving technological landscape as a critical factor that requires society to adapt alongside technological advancements. He stressed the importance of equipping the youth with digital skills and fostering innovation through investment in research and development.

Reflecting on Pakistan’s potential, Iqbal lamented the incomplete implementation of Vision 2025 due to political disruptions. He asserted that national stability and consistent policies are essential for growth, citing recent economic improvements such as reduced inflation and a significant rise in the stock market as evidence of recovery.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali, Director of the National Center for Big Data and Cloud Computing, credited the government’s role in advancing technology fields such as big data, cloud computing, and robotics. He praised the creation of Centers of Excellence, positioning Pakistan as a leader in these areas.
