Islamabad: In a recent meeting focused on the advancement of the Ministry of Planning and Development’s initiatives under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP), Minister Ahsan Iqbal affirmed the ministry’s commitment to support officers seeking higher education. The meeting also addressed the need for swift appointment of Project Directors to enhance project execution and minimize delays.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Iqbal emphasized the importance of education and professional growth for officers during the session. He encouraged all assistant chiefs and research officers to seek scholarships at prestigious foreign universities, reiterating the ministry’s readiness to assist them in these endeavors.
The meeting further entailed directives aimed at accelerating the resolution of pending issues within the ministry to prevent project delays. Iqbal ordered the immediate appointment of Project Directors for all ongoing PSDP projects, underscoring the critical nature of these roles in achieving timely and efficient project outcomes.
Additionally, Parliamentary Secretary Wajiha Akram was present at the meeting, marking her first participation since taking office. Her involvement highlights the ministry’s focus on bolstering its leadership team to better oversee and expedite its development projects.
