Lahore: Minister for Planning and Development, Ahsan Iqbal, has called for the nation to embrace the teachings of Allama Muhammad Iqbal to effectively address current challenges. He emphasized this viewpoint while speaking at a ceremony held at the University of the Punjab, Lahore, in commemoration of Iqbal Day.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ahsan Iqbal highlighted the significance of Iqbal’s philosophy as a timeless guide, particularly for addressing the difficulties faced by the Muslim Ummah on a global scale. He urged the nation to seek inspiration from Iqbal’s work, suggesting that Iqbal’s influential poetry should be prominently displayed at the entrances of universities throughout Pakistan. This initiative aims to inspire both students and faculty members on a daily basis.
In his address, the minister also condemned the ongoing violence against Muslim communities in regions such as Palestine, Gaza, and Lebanon, underscoring the urgent need for peace and understanding.
