Ahad Cheema Calls for Sustainable Export Incentive Framework


Islamabad: Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Cheema has called for the establishment of a sustainable and performance-based export incentive framework during a high-level meeting held in Islamabad. The meeting aimed to review existing export promotion schemes and explore policy options for the forthcoming federal budget.



According to Radio Pakistan, Cheema highlighted the need for an export framework that can increase export volumes, enhance value addition, diversify export products, and integrate small and medium enterprises into global value chains. During the session, participants briefed the Minister on various export policy proposals under consideration for the next budget.



The proposed measures will undergo further refinement in collaboration with relevant stakeholders before the finalization of the federal budget. The government is committed to supporting exporters and advancing export-led economic growth through practical and transparent policy interventions.
