Islamabad, A delegation from the All-Gwadar Shipping Clearing Agents Association (AGSCAA) met with the Federal Minister of Commerce & Industries, Mr. Gohar Ijaz, to discuss the operationalization of Gwadar Port and its potential use for importing wheat and urea.

According to All Gwadar Shipping Clearing Agents Association, led by President Abdul Rahim Zafar, General Secretary Engineer Hameed Baloch, and member Faisal Dashti, advocated for the use of Gwadar Port for the expected import of wheat and urea, as approved by the recent Economic Coordination Committee (ECC). They aim to inform these officials about the ground realities of Gwadar Port and to further their request for importing wheat and urea through this port. Such a move is anticipated to provide employment opportunities for local laborers, transporters, and shipping clearing agents, significantly impacting the regional economy.
