AGPR Implements Innovations to Enhance Government Service Efficiency


Islamabad, The Accountant General of Pakistan Revenue (AGPR), Mr. Ahmar Elahi, highlighted several key initiatives during his tour of AGPR offices that are transforming the financial management landscape of government operations. The Green Channel Facility, which speeds up the processing of low-risk, high-volume transactions, was among the highlighted innovations.



According to Press Information Department, Mr. Elahi commended the swift processing times achieved through the Green Channel, which ensures that government transactions can be completed within 24 hours. He also lauded the micropayment gateway for eliminating the cumbersome processes associated with traditional payment methods.



The collaboration with the State Bank of Pakistan, allowing payments to be processed on Saturdays, was noted as a further boost to efficiency. Additionally, the establishment of a dedicated pension facilitation center and the introduction of online billing were cited as critical steps toward modernizing government financial transactions in line with digitalization goals.
