Agah Hassan Dispatches Envoy to Ladakh, Affirms Support for Regional Demands


Srinagar: Senior All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, who also serves as president of Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, has reiterated his backing for the demands of the people in the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir.



According to Kashmir Media Service, Agha Hassan’s representative, Agha Syed Muntazir, arrived in Kargil following the leader’s recent declaration of support for the inhabitants of Leh and Kargil. Muntazir conveyed a message of solidarity on behalf of the Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, emphasizing the group’s commitment to Ladakh’s concerns.



Agha Muntazir expressed firm support for Ladakh’s demands, which encompass the restoration of statehood, the creation of a separate Public Service Commission, and other crucial rights. He remarked, “The people of Kashmir deeply resonate with the aspirations of the Ladakh region. It’s imperative for New Delhi to heed their voices and address their grievances promptly.”



During his visit, Agha Muntazir engaged with key Ladakhi figures, such as Jamiat Ulema Asna Asharie Chairman Sheikh Nazir Mehdi, Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust leader Sheikh Rajaie, Chief Executive Councillor of Kargil Hill Council Dr. Jaffar Akhoon, and activist Sajjad Kargili. He assured them that the Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian would utilize all available platforms to ensure that Ladakh’s issues are communicated to the relevant authorities and that their demands are resolved promptly.



The statement was well-received by the people of Kargil, who regard this development as a positive step towards reinforcing the connection between Jammu and Kashmir and the Ladakh region.
