Afghans Require Permission to Stay in Islamabad, Says Interior Minister

Islamabad: Afghan nationals without legal permission from district administration will not be permitted to remain in the Islamabad Capital Territory after next month, announced Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Naqvi addressed the media in Islamabad, stating that any Afghan citizen wishing to stay in the Islamabad Capital Territory beyond December must secure a No Objection Certificate from the Deputy Commissioner Office. The announcement underscores a tightening of residency regulations for Afghan nationals in the region.
