Islamabad, February 24, 2022 (PPI-OT):Advisor to the PM on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Mr. Ayub Afridi chaired a meeting for Devolution and Asset Distribution of Workers Welfare Fund (WWF) at the ministry of Overseas today. The meeting was attended by ministers of labour from KP and Baluchistan. He said that the ministry, under his leadership, is striving to ensure smooth transition at the earliest period. He was of the view that workers of these provinces must be facilitated and helped to promote their social mobility. Mr. Shaukat Yousafzai, the minister for Labour from KPK, said that the ministry must actively help to successfully attain this goal of devolution, and also form a mechanism which would allow the provinces to consult the federal ministry in hour of need.
Mr. Ayub Afridi promised that he will ensure this transition within his tenure. He directed that more deliberation is required through further meetings with all provinces to achieve consensus on a mechanism for devolution.
