Islamabad: Ms. Misbah Khar, Advisor to Chairman Senate and Ambassador to the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC), met with Mr. Berk Ece, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Islamabad. The meeting included discussions on enhancing bilateral cooperation in various sectors and reaffirmed the strong relationship between Pakistan and Türkiye.

According to Senate of Pakistan, the meeting focused on mutual interests, with both sides underscoring the importance of strengthening ties in parliamentary diplomacy, trade, investment, education, culture, and people-to-people exchanges. Ms. Khar conveyed greetings from Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and expressed the Senate’s commitment to deepening parliamentary engagement with Türkiye’s Grand National Assembly.

The discussions also included strategies to promote cooperation through platforms like the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference, with an aim to foster dialogue, mutual understanding, and regional peace. Both parties expressed satisfaction with the existing partnership and resolved to enhance bilateral ties through continued parliamentary and diplomatic efforts.
