Acting President Gilani Advocates Strengthened Pakistan-UAE Cooperation in Key Sectors


Islamabad: Acting President Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani emphasized the importance of advancing Pakistan’s long-standing relationship with the United Arab Emirates, focusing on sectors like Information Technology, renewable energy, agriculture, and tourism. This was discussed during a meeting with UAE Ambassador Mr. Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi at Aiwan-e-Sadr.



According to Press Information Department, the discussions underscored the mutual commitment to deepening economic ties and facilitating travel between the two nations. Ambassador Al-Zaabi conveyed the UAE’s interest in bolstering investments in Pakistan, particularly in communications, climate change, and renewable energy. The talks also addressed enhancing flight connections to strengthen economic cooperation. Further, issues related to visa processing efficiency for Pakistanis were considered to improve economic development and interpersonal connections.
