Islamabad: Acting President Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has approved the transfer of judges from the Islamabad High Court, following recommendations from the Judicial Commission of Pakistan as advised by the Prime Minister.
According to Press Information Department, the decision involves the transfer of Mr. Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, who is currently the Senior Puisne Judge at the Islamabad High Court, to the Lahore High Court. Additionally, Mr. Justice Babar Sattar will move from the Islamabad High Court to the Peshawar High Court, and Ms. Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz will transition from the Islamabad High Court to the Sindh High Court.
These judicial changes come as part of an ongoing effort to reorganize the judiciary, ensuring a balanced distribution of judicial expertise across different high courts in the country.
