Islamabad: Acting President Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have reiterated their commitment to eradicating terrorism, following a recent clash in South Waziristan where security forces successfully neutralized five Khwarij militants. Both leaders extended their heartfelt tributes to the security personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty during this operation.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Acting President praised the martyred soldiers for their courageous fight against the terrorists, acknowledging the high regard in which the nation holds these brave individuals who have sacrificed their lives for the country’s defense. He reaffirmed the commitment to continue operations aimed at dismantling terrorist networks and prayed for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks in heaven, as well as strength and patience for their grieving families.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif also expressed deep sorrow over the loss of Naib Subedar Taib Shah, Lance Naik Gulab Zaman, Lance Naik Muzammil Mehmood, and Lance Naik Habibullah in the exchange of fire. Emphasizing the invaluable sacrifices made by these brave jawans, Shehbaz Sharif assured that their sacrifices will not be in vain. He reiterated the government’s resolve to persist in the war against terrorism, aiming for its complete eradication from the country.
