Islamabad: President of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party and Federal Minister for Privatization, Board of Investment and Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, marked Kashmir Day by denouncing India’s rule in Kashmir and calling for international attention to the issue. In a rally organized by his party, Khan highlighted the ongoing struggles in Kashmir, asserting that the Indian government’s actions represent a conspiracy against the basic rights of Kashmir’s citizens.
According to a statement by Press Information Department, Khan criticized the Indian government’s claims of secularism, describing them as hollow and deceitful. He emphasized the hope for Kashmir’s freedom, declaring that the Pakistani nation stands united with the Pakistan Army in defending their homeland. The rally, held on February 5, was attended by various party leaders and members, including Provincial President Rana Nazir Ahmed Khan and General Secretary Muhammad Shoaib Siddiqui.
Participants of the rally expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri people, raising slogans against Indian actions and calling for the resolution of the Kashmir issue in line with United Nations resolutions. The protest was described as a demonstration of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party’s support for the right of self-determination of Kashmiris. Shoaib Siddiqui and Malik Zaman Naseeb, speaking at the event, reiterated the party’s commitment to advocating for Kashmir’s cause.
The protest saw participation from a broad cross-section of society, including members of the women’s wing, lawyers’ wing, doctors’ wing, and youth groups. The rally served as a platform for expressing widespread discontent with the current situation in Kashmir and reinforced the party’s dedication to raising awareness on the international stage.
