AAP Protests Against BJP’s Arrest Policies in Mandi

Shimla, In Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, members of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) staged a demonstration to protest the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) widespread arrest and crackdown campaign across India, with a particular emphasis on the recent arrest of Delhi’s Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the protest was led by AAP’s district in-charge, Rakesh Rawat, with the participation of IIOJK secretary Rakesh Malhotra and other AAP workers. During the event, Malhotra accused the BJP of exploiting government agencies for its benefit, highlighting the party’s concern over AAP’s increasing influence.

The AAP representatives criticized the central government’s actions, particularly the handling of the liquor scam investigation, pointing out that despite extensive raids by the Enforcement Directorate, no substantial evidence or illicit funds have been uncovered. Malhotra emphasized the lack of tangible proof in the arrests of opposition leaders, portraying these actions as unjust and politically motivated.

The demonstration in Mandi was attended by numerous AAP activists, including Neeraj Saini, Shera Negi, Ajay Sharma, and others, signaling a collective resolve to challenge what they perceive as undemocratic practices by the BJP. The event underscored the party’s commitment to defending democratic values and opposing political suppression.
