Srinagar: The Awami Action Committee (AAC), led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has expressed its profound sadness over the death of Javaid Iqbal Khan, a distinguished businessman from Srinagar.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Javaid Iqbal Khan, owner of the International Hotel in Lal Chowk, passed away recently. He was widely respected in the community, not only for his business achievements but also for his personal ties with the Mirwaiz family, a prominent religious and political lineage in the region.
The AAC issued a statement extending heartfelt condolences to Khan’s family, recognizing his significant societal contributions and his lasting legacy. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq personally conducted special prayers for Khan, reflecting the deep respect the community held for him.
Additionally, a delegation from the AAC visited the Khan family in the Channapora area to offer condolences and support during this difficult time.
