Srinagar, September 05, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of the former leading and active worker of the organisation Al-Haaj Ghulam Hassan Rangrez.
The AAC in a statement, on behalf of the organisation and its incarcerated Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, who continues to be under house arrest for the last over three years, termed the demise of Khawaja Ghulam Hassan Rangrez as a big loss to the organisation and paid rich tributes to the deceased for his political sacrifices towards the organisation, movement and society.
It said late Ghulam Hassan Rangrez, whose entire family has been associated with the Mirwaiz family for centuries, responded to the call of the martyred leader at every stage, and after him despite his old age, on the instructions of the current head of the organisation Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. However, he was bedridden for a long time due to poor health.
The AAC said that after hearing the news of Rangrez Sahib’s demise, not only the organisational circles but also the whole area mourned. Apart from the central officials of the Awami Action Committee, its workers and a large number of people participated in the funeral prayer and his burial.
