Islamabad, February 03, 2023 (PPI-OT):The representatives of federal ministries, provincial governments, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir governments briefed the Prime Minister regarding preparations for Kashmir Solidarity Day. A special review meeting was held today in Islamabad regarding the preparations for Kashmir Solidarity Day under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.
Talking to the participants of the meeting, the Prime Minister said that India has illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir for the past 75 years. After the illegal action of August 5, 2019, Kashmiris were put against the wall and in recent days, the atrocities on Kashmiris by India have accelerated. The Prime Minister said that Pakistan will continue its unwavering support to its Kashmiri brothers and sisters.
The Prime Minister further said that the voice of Kashmiris will be conveyed to the whole world. He further said that the Pakistani nation will not sit with China until the just settlement of Jammu and Kashmir. The Prime Minister directed all the relevant institutions to work in harmony to celebrate the Kashmir Solidarity Day this year in an effective manner.
In the meeting, the representatives of federal ministries, provincial governments, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu Kashmir governments gave briefings regarding the preparations for Kashmir Solidarity Day. The meeting was told that in this regard, rallies, walks, photo exhibitions, speech contests and other events will be organized across the country.
Federal Minister of Railways and Aviation Khawaja Saad Rafiq, Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting Maryam Aurangzeb, Federal Minister of Communications Maulana Asad Mehmood, Federal Minister of Education Rana Tanveer Hussain, Federal Minister of Information Technology and Telecom Amin ul Haq, Adviser to Prime Minister on Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Qamar Zaman Kaira, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi and senior government officials participated.
