A seminar on “Library Services in Islamabad Capital Territory” held at Quaid Public Library

Islamabad, August 11, 2021 (PPI-OT): To understand and promote the role and services of libraries in the Capital, Department of Libraries, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) in collaboration with Pakistan Information Literacy and Library Movement (PAKILLM) and Islamian Library Information Science Alumni Association (ILISAA) organized a seminar on “Library Services in Islamabad Capital Territory” at Quaid Public Library, Fatima Jinnah Park, F-9, Islamabad on August 04, 2021 at 03:05 PM.

Dr. Najeeba Arif, Dean Faculty of Languages IIUI graced the Seminar as a Chief Guest. Dr. Sadia Kamal. Senior Vice President, National Press Club Islamabad honoured the Seminar as a Guest of Honour. Prominent Librarians from various renowned libraries of Islamabad attended the Seminar. Mr. Muhammad Arshad, Director (Technical Services), Department of Libraries welcomed the participants of the Seminar.

Four well reputed Researchers of Library profession highlighted various aspects of the topic, while presenting their presentations. The Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour, during their addresses to the participants said that theme of the seminar was very good, innovative and informative ultimate result oriented. They appreciated the efforts of Researchers. The Seminar ended with the vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Muhammad Azam Ch., Director (Readers Services), Department of Libraries.
